Earring Inspo Character: Alex King

Other Notes: Very good film about the sometimes devastating realities of life (no matter where you live). I’m not usually a Clooney fan, but he was especially good at displaying the vulnerabilities and insecurities of a man whose life has just been turned upside down in multiple ways. Grace and forgiveness are strong themes, and having lived briefly on Oahu years ago, I sense that the locale was a big factor in the generosity of the movie’s characters. They carried the ‘aloha spirit’ as part of who they were and who their ancestors were. The sanctity of family, land, and traditions is key. Beautiful film, inside and out.
